Health care management is the profession that provides leadership and direction to organizations that deliver health services. The nature of organization requires that managers provide leadership as well as the supervision and coordination of employees. Managers are needed to make certain that organizational tasks are carried out in the best way possible to achieve organizational goal and that appropriate resources, including financial and human resources, are adequate to support to the organization.

Healthcare management education is now a day's recognized as a significant com-potent of the healthcare delivery matrix. One of the primary factors has been the recognition by leaders and administrators of healthcare delivery that a need exists for managers who have the business and healthcare educational knowledge, skills, and competencies to fill a variety of roles and responsibilities. These positions are found in almost all healthcare delivery settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, medical group practices, governmental agencies, and insurance institutions.

 Coming to the 21st century, the evolutionary concept of health, the definition of health itself has gone through variation that alone clinical or diagnostic approaches cannot address the health care need of the people. Proper implementation of managerial techniques along with clinical aspects can be expected to result in a qualitative as well as qualities as well as quantitative issues of healthcare. With this emerging concept of health and management, the values of health care management have been increasing. Health care management can be simply understood as the managerial aspect of any health related issue or concept. Health care basically consists of two aspects Clinical aspect and managerial aspect.
